National Latino Peace Officers Association – Advocacy endorses Derek Schmidt for Kansas Governor

TOPEKA – (May 18, 2022) – The National Latino Peace Officers Association – Advocacy today endorsed Attorney General Derek Schmidt in the race for Governor of Kansas.

The endorsement was announced in a letter to the campaign from NLPOA-Advocacy Chairman Darrin Fulton and Secretary Billy Mendez, which can be found online here, and is reproduced below:

“The National Latino Peace Officers Association – Advocacy supports and endorses your candidacy for Governor of the Great State of Kansas, with the recommendation of the Kansas Advocacy Charter.

“The NLPOA-Advocacy is a law enforcement organization made up of federal, state, and local law enforcement officers.

“The NLPOA-Advocacy supports Derek Schmidt because his vision is consistent with the type of Leader our country needs, especially with the current state of the law enforcement profession.

NLPOA is the second national law enforcement organization to endorse Derek Schmidt for Governor. Earlier this year, Schmidt received the endorsement of the National Border Patrol Council. Schmidt also has been endorsed by more than two dozen current and former Kansas sheriffs.
